Islam divides the world into the House of Islam ( Dar al-Islam ) and the House of War ( Dar al-harb ).

Alone among Indonesia's Muslim groups, Darul Islam _ translated as " House of Islam " _ has repeatedly claimed to have links with Osama bin Laden and his followers.
In post-9 / 11 world, plagued by alarming confusion in the Muslim mind, futureislam has gradually emerged as one of the major forums where genuine debates within the House of Islam are underway.
The region was a hotbed of Islamic militancy in the 1940s and 50s, and the home of a massive religious rebellion called Darul Islam ( House of Islam ) which was finally crushed by government troops in the early 1960s.
